Personal Learning Network – PLN

PLN (Personal Learning Network) is a network that you develop to allow continual learning.

A Personal Learning Network is a networking tool used to develop yourself as you continue to grow in the industry.  Personal Learning Network social pages include sites like Feedly and LinkedIn.  These socials pages provide you, as the user, a wide variety of different benefits.

LinkedIn has many perks that I use on a day to day basis.  For example: this site allows me to network with other industry level people and professionals in my career path.  LinkedIn also has a Premium plan that they allow you to try for a month and if you like it, it is a nominal fee.  This Premium service assists the user in job searches, building networks, along with many other features.  I consider my LinkedIn to be a professional form of Facebook with perks, these perks include jobs in any type of field that you’re looking for and (if you purchase the plan) self-guided e-classes.

Feedly is another awesome page that I use in my PLN.  I use this site to gather all relevant updates about a topic and have it in location rather than searching all over the internet.  For instance, I use the keyword “Esports” and it provides me with blogs, news, RSS web feeds, and social media posts.

Below are an images of both my LinkedIn profile and my Feedly newsfeed.  Feel free to connect with me on LinkedIn.
