My name is Roxanne Kristen Hafer, born in Greensburg Pennsylvania, a small town 35 miles east of Pittsburgh. I graduated in April 2021 from Full Sail University with a Master of Arts degree in Public Relations. I was acknowledged as Valedictorian and the Advanced Achievement recipient.
While attending school, I also held the title of Vice President of Social Media for the NSCS (or National Society of Collegiate Scholars). I also work full-time at Home Depot. I have been with Home Depot for 13 years as a Merchandising Execution Associate. Everyone always says that it seems like I am always busy and the truth of the matter is, I am always busy. I am always looking for something to do or learn.
I signed up for my Master’s Degree at Full Sail to keep my mind going in all different directions. The program I decided to tackle was Public Relations. This may sound like an easy degree, I would disagree. As much as I seem like an open and ready to go kind of girl, I knew I needed to work on how to jump into conversations and keep them going.
I created a Mastery Journal to document my journey through the Master’s degree, to note milestones accomplished, credible resources, links to researches completed, and inspirations along the way.
A quote that has always resonated with me is from R. S. Grey’s Scoring Wilder and it says “She believed she could so she did.” Three qualities that make me unique from others would be commitment, dedication, and hardworking. I plan to make this year and every year after the best one yet, so let’s get to it!
