As I start the road towards my Master’s Degree, I have promised myself that I will step up to the plate and push myself to a higher level of learning. This challenge will be similar to when I was getting my Bachelor’s Degree because I am still working full time and taking side jobs to help others in an industry that I am still learning about. The quote “She believed she could so she did,” by R.S. Grey has resonated with me for as long as I can remember. It reminds me that if I just believe in myself, I can do anything, and my work will get done.
The purpose of this intention statement is to actively document assignments and projects while on this winding road to the Master’s Degree. Over the next 12 months I hope to further my education and learn more in the world of Public Relations. I would like to achieve a sense of confidence when it comes to speaking, in both my work and in front of large groups of people.
Other than that, I would hope to network with more people in not only in Public Relations, but in all areas. Networking is a very powerful tool in this day and age. For example, since I am looking into becoming a Digital Marketing Strategist or maybe even a Community and Customer Support Director, I would need to network with professionals in the Esports and marketing world, that way I could see things from all perspectives. A strong understanding of the gaming/entertainment community, keeping up on social media trends, as well as knowledge of and a network of current game influencers would help immensely.
I understand that my Mastery Journey will take dedication, patience, and time. I am positive that Full Sail University will help me prepare for my future in every way possible. Over the next 12 months I hope to develop relationships with industry professionals that can help me along the way in my Mastery Journey and build a confidence in the Public Relations field that is unstoppable.
